Summer camp

Session dates, session fees, and availability.

Five week-long sessions are available for girls who have finished grades 2–11.

Activity classes are:

• Chosen by each camper upon arrival
• Skill-based instruction
• Non-competitive
• Intentionally integrated faith and fun
• Nationally recognized programs of instruction

A day at camp also includes:

• Beginning each day with time set aside for Bible reading and prayer
• Small group Bible study
• All-camp and divisional evening programs including songs around a campfire and a devotional message.

Campers are grouped according to grade finished with each girl living in her cabin or tent group with other girls and a counselor. (1 counselor to 7 younger girls, 1 counselor to 8 older girls)

• Pathfinders (finished grades 3–4)
• Trailblazers (finished grades 5–6)
• Challengers (finished grades 7–8)
• Explorers (finished grades 9–11)

Stayover information

When your daughter is staying for more than one week, there is a program for Saturday afternoon through Sunday noon. Supervised activities are planned. Camper's laundry is done for them.

 

 

 

Parent/Daughter Sessions

Bible studies, activities, morning devotions, campfires and great food are all part of these fun-filled weekends.

Parent/Daughter sessions are:

• For girls ages 6-17
• For parents and grandparents of all ages are welcome
• Spiritually encouraging
• Full of fellowship with other parents and daughters
• Packed with a variety of activities that parents and daughters choose together

Mothers and Daughters

We have one weekend especially designed for mothers and daughters to enjoy the quiet atmosphere of the forest, study God's Word, and experience a fun-filled program. Mothers and daughters are housed together with other participants.  Sample Schedule

Fathers and Daughters

We have one weekend designed for fathers to spend time with their daughters enjoying the outdoors. Daughters sleep in supervised cabins with other girls. Dads sleep in tents with other Dads.  Sample Schedule

Arrival and registration begins the first night at 7:00 PM. Departure is on the last day after lunch.

How Many Days? You Decide! Stay just one night or up to seven nights and enjoy a full program and three meals a day. Come with your family, arrange a reunion with camp friends or family, or just escape everyday life with a neighbor!

Fees

• Adult (age 17+)- $55 per day
• Child (age 4-16)- $35 per day
• Children under age 4 FREE
• Non-refundable registration deposit of $15 per person, per day due at time of registration

Accommodations

• Housing will be in cabins and tents. There is no electricity in the cabins and tents. Washhouse facilities are located in a separate building.
• For special housing needs, please contact our registrar.

Childcare

• Childcare is not provided except during occasional designated times.

Program

• Custom daily schedule- you choose your activities and other special events each day
• A full range of camp activities will be offered each day. Click here for a list of possible activity offerings. (Some activities have minimum age requirements.)
• Families choose to do activities together or separately (some activities have supervision requirements based on age).
• Bible Exploration in age appropriate groups each day (children in small groups, adults with guest speakers in large group)
• Build-A-Cookout: with the help of a staff member, plan and go on a cookout for any meal (plan your own lunch hikes also available)
• Different evening programs each night based on a theme. Themes may include: Country Hoedown, Family Fued, Beach Party, BUNCO Night, Fourth of July Picnic and Minute to Win It
• Special events and activities offered each day.

Each day you stay includes one night lodging, three meals and all programming.

 

Weekends for Church Groups

Church groups have two possibilities: Work weekends are for service projects. Camporee is for girls club programs.

You'll be interested in learning more about these weekends for your groups.

Camporee 

Your girls club program is invited to attend the Camp Cedarbrook Camporee. We offer a weekend in June for your club members to learn outdoor skills and work on badges while leaders attend training seminars. It is also an enjoyable way to spend time with your girls. We look forward to seeing you at one of our Camporee weekends!

Each group is housed together with their leaders. Times throughout the day are provided for leaders to spend with their groups. Spiritual encouragement happens through Morning Watch and the evening program. A variety of activities are available for campers. Leadership Training Seminars to help equip leaders as they minister to children are offered while girls attend activity sessions led by our staff

Dates & Times

Arrival is after 7PM on Friday and departure is after the noon meal on Sunday.

Age Groups

Activities are planned for Voyagers (finished grade 1) through Challengers (finished grade 8).

Girls finished grades 9-12 are welcome to register with their church club group and come as High School helpers at NO COST.

Fees

The fee is $110 for each club member and leader participant. This covers meals, housing, activities, and adult seminars.

Tuck Shop (camp store) will be open during free time on Saturday. The participants can bring spending money to purchase snacks, souvenirs, and camp clothing.

Facilities

All the facilities at Camp Cedarbrook in the Adirondacks are designed for safety, quality, and maximum participation and with the outdoor experience in mind. Our 500+ acres of Adirondack forest land provide the perfect setting for hiking, orienteering, cooking out over an open fire, and sleeping under the stars or in an Adirondack lean-to. Our beautiful 45-acre Davignon Pond is home to our swimming, sailing, kayaking, and canoeing activities. Even our indoor facilities give the feeling of being outdoors.

Housing

Campers are housed in cabins and platform tents. This rustic housing protects campers from the elements, but doesn’t isolate them from the sights, sounds, and atmosphere of the forest. All camper groups have a resident counselor (staff) who live with the campers. Washhouses in each living area provide sinks, toilets, and hot showers.

The staff members not assigned to camper groups are housed in a variety of buildings, two to four staff members per room with a shared bath nearby.

Dining

The entire camp enjoys its meals together in our roomy dining hall, where large windows provide plenty of light and views of the forest. Meals are prepared in our well-equipped kitchen.

Activities

Separate buildings for crafts, nature study, and outdoor living skills enhance our activity program. Our multi-purpose activity building has a large fireplace and is big enough for the whole camp to gather for evening campfires worship services. Horsemanship classes are held at the stable and riding ring. Our spacious stable houses 8-9 horses each summer. We also have a riflery range, an archery field, several playing fields, a ropes course with both high and low elements, and separate areas on the lake for swimming and boating activities.
